Novel idea posting instructions

Check to see if anyone has already made a thread on a book by your author.
If someone has, post your reading response as a reply to their thread.
If not, make a new thread.
For the subject of the thread, put the author's name last name, first name, and the title of your book.
On all posts you make, end them with your name and class period

Please follow the same guidelines you would follow in a face-to-face class discussion:
Support your assertions with specific evidence from the text,
including direct quotes, paraphrases, and page numbers.
Be sure to go beyond merely identifying elements of the text.
Analyze their impact on the story.
Proofread your posts before sending them.
Use proper academic English. No texting.
Be respectful of one another’s insights.
Post in response to a variety of students threads.

How to respond to threads:
If you want to make a general comment or your book is by the same author and you need to post your assignment, hit the reply button, or you can start typing in the quick reply box.
If you want to respond directly to something someone else said, click the quote button and leave the text it generates at the top of your message.
